There are several drastic differences between christians and muslims but the most important and most significant is that of Jesus. The bible is clear in John 14:6 when he said, "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me." In understanding the Christian faith it is critical to understand that the belief in Jesus as the Savior is the critical difference between our faith and the faith of other religions. We see the Bible as the ultimate truth and through it all things are directed to us for how we should live and what we should do. John 1:14 was specific in what the truth was, it was God's word. It also pointed out that the word was Jesus and Jesus was the word and through him we find the things we need to live. Muslims do not recognize Jesus as the Son of God and they do not believe that Jesus is the Savior of the world. Beyond this major difference there are also differences in the word that they live by. Christians look to the bible as God's divine word given to man to write through the inspiration of God and through the direct words of Jesus spoken to his disciples. (2 Timothy 3:16 "All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness") Muslims recognize the Qur'an (Koran) as their word from Muhammad as the only profit that leads to only God (not the trinity as Christians believe - God the Father, Jesus the Son and the Holy Spirit). There are numerous other differences and there are numerous similarities in Christianity and the Islamic religion but the full belief in Jesus and the ENTIRE Bible are the major differing factors between Christianity and other religions.
